Our favourite band, rock music in Taber, Alberta.

Streetheart Toque

We headed out today for the Cornstock Music Festival in Taber. We checked into the hotel in Lethbridge (no vacancy in Taber) and then drove to the festival site. We managed to get there just in time to have a quick chat with our friend Jeff Neill, the guitarist in Streetheart, who was checking the sound before their set.

It turns out that Brent Fitz was on the drum kit for Streetheart tonight, as he has been for most of this year. Spider Sinnaeve was away with Loverboy in the States, so the very experienced Blair De Pape filled in on bass, as he has done on many occasions.

"Our" band played a great set tonight. We never get tired of hearing the whole audience sing along to "One More Time".

Then it was time for Toque, the quintessential Western Canadian Band. And we got to see and hear Brent Fitz one more time, this time as the bass player in Toque.

Todd Kerns from Toque joined Streetheart for a couple of tunes and Jeff Neill joined Toque for a couple. Just a bunch of great western musicians and great friends.
