Lez did a lot of her quilting on her HQ Sixteen free motion sewing machine. It is time to let it go to a new quilter's home.
This machine travelled with us all over western Canada during our Roads Less Gravelled adventures from 2020 to 2024. As a result, the corners of the table need a little TLC and the Ott Light post needs some work also.
Otherwise, this collection is in very good condition. There are 4,586,498 stitches registered on the mid-arm's "odometer" (apparently quite low according to my sources).
I honestly don't know what price to ask for this collection. It comes with the mid-arm machine, the collapsible table with insert for the machine, the foot pedal, the electric thread spooler, and the Ott light.
New machines of this type, with table, are priced at anywhere from $ 6,000 to $ 10,000 new. There are not many in stock; apparently they have been affected by the US tariff changes.
There are not many used ones available; quilters don't give them up unless they can no longer quilt. I found one available on the prairies for $ 5,000 with the Ott light attached directly to the mid-arm and no damage on the corners of the table.
All being said I still don't know what to ask for this.
