It was time to say good-bye to the family in Lekkerkerk. A final coffee, final story, final hug.

Aldo took us to the closest train station where, in ten minutes, we were in downtown Rotterdam. A short walk and we were at the hotel. Our room faces a traffic circle called Hofplein which we have many seen times since 1972. This time it is under renovation as the city reduces vehicle lanes by half along the main street called the Coolsingel that leads to the fountain. More walking and biking paths are in order.
