Off to the Schaardijk.
De Witte Brug, Lekkerkerk Netherlands
Hanneke and Aldo took us for lunch at the Zalmhuis (the Salmon House) located close to where Lee's mother was born and where his grandmother lived. A nice time.
We spent the afternoon in a shady part of Hanneke's backyard.
Sitting outside our hotel room enjoying the clear blue sky. Many birds are around including a dove, magpie, chirpping sparrows and a crow or two. Our door and windows are all open and it is still cool inside. A beautiful pink flower covers the grass and dandelions dot the view too. I will be taking the hoodie off very soon. The sounds of the neighbours indicate everyone is enjoying the fresh outdoors. I am surprised at how much Dutch I do understand. The younger generation here speaks fluent English so I can join in most of the conversations. Lee keeps the diary going as I do forget a lot of details and events. I'm living in the moment.
